From pottery to iron forging to banjo making, the craftsman and artist of the Blue Ridge Mountain are highly regarded and there work is highly sought after.
Most of the fun of finding them in their workshops, is learning how they make their crafts.

Buckeye Banjo’s | Greg Galbreath | Eggleston | (540) 230-0085

I strive to create the highest quality open-back banjos possible – in tone, playability, and design.

Greg started a year long apprenticeship with master banjo maker Mac Traynham. He loved the experience and came away with a beautiful banjo that he played for the next ten years. Greg never thought banjos would become his full time occupation, but after 10 years of making banjos as a hobby, he decided to follow his passion and officially started making banjos under the Buckeye Banjos name in 2006. Since then Greg has made over 150 custom banjos for musicians all over the world, and has never regretted my decision.
